Richard (Lee) Leroy Johnson

Richard (Lee) Leroy Johnson, 69, of Canyon Lake, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 13, 2018 at his home. Born on August 27, 1948 in Richmond Heights Missouri he was the son of the late Marshal and Alice Johnson. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Wanda Johnson; children Stephanie Johnson, Margaret Hebert, Theresa De Sha, Michael De Sha and Connie De Sha; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Patricia (Sue) Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Larry Johnson, Robert Johnson, Cliff Johnson, Theresa (Teri) Johnson and Donald (Doni) Johnson. Richard graduated from Webster High School 1966. Lee was in the United States Navy 1976 to 1980. He was a police officer for Bishop Texas, also a deputy constable for the County of Nueces Texas. Richard was also a wood craftsman and enjoyed making custom furniture for his grandchildren. He also enjoyed doing leather crafts, lock smith, home remodeling, aircraft electrical work fishing, hunting and many other hobbies. A graveside service will be held with Military Honors at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Richard's name to the Parkinson's Foundation or the charity of your choice.
