Shirley Jo Johnson

Shirley Jo Capps Johnson, 72, passed on to heaven on November 15, 2017 in New Braunfels, Texas. Shirley was born in Waco, Texas to Joseph and Grace Capps on March 10, 1945. She attended Conley High School in Waco, Texas where she was a Majorette in the Marching Band. She married LB Johnson in 1961 at Lakeview Baptist Church, Lacy Lakeview, Texas. For most of her life Shirley served others as a wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, nurse, and most importantly a woman dedicated to our Lord and Savior. Her final working years were spent in the Philippines serving as a missionary in the Cebu province. Her kingdom impact will resonate throughout the generations to follow. Shirley is preceded in death by her Husband LB Johnson; parents Joseph and Grace Capps and Sister Anna Faye Carson. Shirley is survived by her children Ricky Wayne Johnson, Cara Danette Johnson, Rodney Barry Johnson and nephew Johnnie Paul Johnson; brother Neal Dean Capps; 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and brother and sister in-law Johnnie and Bonnie Johnson.
