October 7, 1994 – July 26, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Annyssa Rico, age 31, on Sunday, July 26, 2026. Born on October 7, 1994, in New Braunfels, Texas, Annyssa was a beloved daughter, devoted wife, loving sister, and baddie’s baddie friend whose kindness and warmth touched the lives of everyone she met.
She graduated from New Braunfels High School in 2013. Shortly after graduation, Annyssa met the love of her life, Adrian Rico, and together they built a loving relationship founded on friendship, trust, and devotion. They were united in marriage on September 28, 2024. Together, they shared a deep bond filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Annyssa worked for Comal County Clerk’s office as a Deputy Clerk III for nearly seven years, where she was admired and respected by her coworkers. They described her as sweet, dependable, and exceptionally capable. She was known for her strong work ethic and confidence in her abilities, rarely needing assistance because she always knew how to get the job done. Her dedication and positive spirit left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to work alongside her.
As one coworker shared, “Nyssa was our sassy, spunky sweetheart. She had a huge impact on our office and will be deeply missed. I loved her fighting spirit. She was a trusted leader, valued mentor, with a mind for excellence and a heart of gold.”
Annyssa was one of the biggest supporters of the people and community she loved. Whether she was cheering on her husband, encouraging family and friends, or supporting local businesses, she always showed up with enthusiasm and a generous heart. Her unwavering support, loyalty, and encouragement made others feel valued and believed in. She was truly the life of the party, bringing laughter, energy, and joy wherever she went. Her vibrant personality and infectious spirit lit up every room and left lasting memories for everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She enjoyed reading, shopping, and spending time with her beloved husband, family, and loved ones. Annyssa especially cherished the time she spent with her mother, creating memories that her family will treasure forever.
Annyssa was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Leticia; her uncle, Bobo; and other cherished relatives who held a special place in her heart. Their memories and the love they shared with Annyssa will forever remain a part of the legacy she leaves behind. Annyssa is survived by her loving husband, Adrian Rico; her parents, Andrea and Robert Rodriguez; her brothers, John Rodriguez and Richard Sauceda III; her sister, Savannah Sauceda; and numerous relatives, friends, and coworkers who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Adrian & family. “I’m sorry” doesn’t convey the depth of the sorrow that we feel for your loss and ours. Nyssa was beautiful and so very intelligent! She was an absolute inspiration to many and the void this loss leaves is immense. You’re in our thoughts and we pray for your comfort and peace.
Your sweet/sassy energy, humor and kindness will never be forgotten. You inspired me in so many ways. I’m extremely grateful for our friendship and memories we made together. I will carry you in my heart forever. I love you and miss you girl!!
Adrian and family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you all of my love and praying for your strength and comfort. 🩷
From the moment I met you, I knew you were a baddie, strong, confident, protective, outspoken, and so much fun. You had a way of lighting up every room and making people laugh with your stories and your beautiful personality.
I will forever miss your beautiful face, your laughter, and all the memories we shared. I am so grateful that our paths crossed and that I had the blessing of becoming part of your family. I will never forget everything you did for me and the kindness you showed me.

I’m going to miss your laugh, your quick comebacks, and your constant words of encouragement and support towards me. You always kept it real and was so refreshing to see you. As soon as you walked into the room, everyone screamed because we all knew we were going to be laughing all night. I am gonna miss you commenting and swiping up on everything I post. May you rest in paradise, I love you so much.
I will forever cherish our conversations, our memories, and the bond we shared as cousins. You had a way of making others feel heard, loved, and understood. Thank you for always being someone I could confide in, someone who listened to me without judgment and loved us with your whole heart. Your beautiful and fun spirit were gifts to everyone who knew you. I will always keep your videos close especially the one you sent to me with Elenita when I was working on Thanksgiving. I cannot imagine being at work when you came in.
Heaven gained a beautiful soul. Until we meet again cuz may you rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord and all of our loved ones. You will always be loved, deeply missed, and never, ever forgotten.
I love you CUZ!
Please lord wrap your loving arms around Adrian and my cousin (The Rodriguez family) during this difficult time
With Love.
Girl, I am so heartbroken that this world has lost such an amazing soul. I cannot begin to explain the light you brought into the lives of everyone around you. From the moment I met you at the County Clerk’s Office, I knew we were going to be close.
Although I had not worked there in a few years, I still thought of you every time I saw anything referencing a “favorite coworker.” You were definitely the reason I came to work every day—I mean, the paycheck may have had a little something to do with it too, LOL!
I will miss your presence here on Earth, friend. I will always cherish the time we shared and keep your memory close to my heart. I am so proud of you, and I love you, girl. Until we meet again.
To the Family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. I cannot begin to imagine the heartache and pain your family is experiencing. Please know that my thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences are with you all. I am praying your families peace, comfort, strength, and understanding during this difficult time.
Praying that God holds all her loved ones close during this difficult time. May the peace of Christ fill all those broken hearts as they mourn.
