Charles A. Muñoz, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on October 21, 2025 at the age of 69.

Charles was born on August 21, 1956 in San Antonio, Texas to Charles E. Muñoz and Adela B. Muñoz. He grew up in New Braunfels, Texas and graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1976.

After graduating High School, he was employed at Goepf Jewelers in downtown New Braunfels where he learned how to engrave jewelry. Later, he attended San Antonio College for a few years, where he studied Business. His most proud achievement was working for the Immigration and Naturalization Service (later renamed Homeland Security) in San Antonio for 30 years.

Charles’ hobbies included leatherwork, woodwork, and DIY projects. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, perseverance and sense of humor.

He is survived by his brothers, Richard (Emma) and Michael (Petra); nephews, Rick, Alex and Charlie; nieces, Amelia and Sarah (Goddaughter); and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Adela (2011) and father Charles (1979).

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the caregivers, hospital staff, friends and family for their love, care and support.

In keeping with Charles’ wishes, a private service will be held for immediate family. The family appreciates your love and support during this time.

  3. Chuck was an amazing friend. When I was in the Army & was placed on the border mission in 2006, chuck was the first civilian to welcome me & my comrades with a smiles, jokes & guidance.
