Oralia Valadez, 79, passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 24, 2026 in New Braunfels, Texas. She was born in New Braunfels, Texas on November 1, 1946 to Francisco and Virginia Castillo.

Oralia was a traveling medical biller for over 20 years. She traveled for work which took her to many cities and states. She loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed planning parties and loved to dance. She was always dressed to impress and she did. Her infectious laugh and boundless generosity will be missed by all who knew her.

Oralia is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Virginia Castillo; sisters, Ofelia Reimer, Olga Silva, and Hortencia Valadez.

She is survived by her husband, Anival R. Valadez; children, Michael Anthony Valadez, Alma Marie Ramirez, and Marcella Escalera; grandchildren, Adriana Valadez, Adrian Guerrero, Zachary Lerma, Justin Lerma, Aidan Serna, Vicente Valadez, Alexandria Escalera, Adriana Escalera, and Emily Escalera; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary to be at 7:00 PM at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Services will conclude after the Mass.

    of our beloved sister-in-law, Oralia. There is so much I wanted to tell her. She always included us in her family gatherings and family birthdays! That meant a lot to me. She was a great host! I am so glad for those memories! I am praying for peace and comfort during this difficult time!
