April 21, 1983 ~ August 1, 2026

Born in: San Antonio, Texas
Resided in: Uvalde, Texas

Ryan was a lot of things to a lot of people. He was a son, a brother, a father, family, and the kind of friend everyone hoped to have in their corner. He could make you laugh when you needed it most, tell a story that somehow got funnier every time, and remind you not to take life too seriously. If there was tension in the room, Ryan was usually the one to break it with a joke. He loved deeply—his children, his brothers, his friends, and the life he built with them. To know Ryan was to know someone who left an impression you didn’t forget.

Ryan is survived by his children, Connor and Kiera McKnight; his Siblings, Sean & Monica McKnight His Brother and sister-in-law along with Greg McKnight his other brother, as well as his extended family, Renee McKnight the mother of his Children. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis McKnight; his mother, Frankie McKnight; and his sister, Kim McKnight. He will also be forever remembered by his lifelong friends John and Jason Flores, David Nix, Clay Greenwell, Dave Wade, and so many others whose lives were made brighter simply by knowing him.

There are no words that can truly measure the loss left behind. Ryan would probably roll his eyes at all the fuss, crack a joke, and tell everyone not to make such a big deal out of him. But the truth is, he never fully understood just how deeply he was loved or how many lives he changed simply by being himself. We will carry his stories, his laughter, and his memory with us always. We love you, Ryan, and we always will.
