Archie Dean White of New Braunfels, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, February 10, 2017 at the age of 75. He was born on February 5, 1942 in California, the son of the late Millard Ray White and Helen Lucille Wheat White. There are infinite memories that could be shared about Dean. He learned many trades over his lifetime. After picking cotton for five cents a pound as a young boy in California and a few other jobs along the way he moved to Missouri with his family to become a farmer where he resided for 12 years. Dean moved the family to Texas in 1981 to work for his brother in law at Divine Food and Drugs. A few years later he utilized his skills as a mechanic and opened his own mechanic/ paint and body shop. In the early 1990's he was offered a job with Rush Enterprises in San Antonio where he worked until his retirement at age 65. He believed in hard work and shared that same work ethic with his children. Dean loved nature and animals, especially his sweet Jack Russell Terrier Angel, who he must certainly be reunited with. Dean loved to have a good time, he lived in the moment. His laugh was infectious and he had a mischievous smile that always made you wonder what he was up to. You couldn't help but love him and want to be around him. He was strong, generous, forgiving and compassionate. Dean will be greatly missed, but his light will shine in those who knew him until we all meet again. Dean leaves behind daughters, Tabitha A. Ellis and Dena Claycomb (Tim); sister Bonnie Divine (Andy); grandchildren Alexis Granzin (Derek), Alyssa Ellis, Tyler Claycomb, 3 great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held for close friends and family members on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 5-8 pm.
