Barbara Peterson

Barbara Ann Peterson, 87, of Canyon Lake, Texas, passed away Monday, October 28, 2019, in New Braunfels, Texas. Her wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service is pending and will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery, Illinois. Lux Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Braunfels, Texas, is in charge of arrangements. She was born on Feb. 21, 1932 in Manito, IL. She graduated from Yates City High School and married Laverne Peterson in 1953 at First Lutheran Church, Moline, IL. He passed away in 2011. Those left to celebrate her include daughters, Ann (Randy) Eickstaedt, DeDe (John) Phleger and Sue (Mark) Buttschau; grandchildren, Amy Phleger, Allison (Kenny) Edmonds, Orrin (Chantelle) Peterson, Carey (Steve) Stockton and Daniel Eickstaedt; and 10 great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include her sister, Sharon Whitney; brothers, Jim (Margaret) Booth, Bob (Lisa) Booth, Pat (Becky) Booth, Mike (Lana) Booth and sister-in-law, Charlotte Booth. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, Sterling and Greta Booth and brother, Richard Booth.
