Benita Blair

Benita Quinn Blair, 59, of Burnet, passed away suddenly in her home on Sunday, March 29, 2020. She was born to the late Ben and Nita Quinn, October 5, 1960, in Odessa, Texas. Benita is survived by her two children and their spouses: Amanda and Jacob Griego, of Burnet; and Ricky and Candice Reeves, of Florence. "Nana" will be deeply missed by her six grandchildren: Maczimus, Rozalind, Izabellah, Luciuz (Griego), and Evan and Austin (Reeves). Benita was predeceased by her sister, Tresia Thomason, and two brothers, Steven Phillips and Dennis Meeks. Her son, Ricky, describes his mom as a "Loud, loving woman". She was known as a good friend and neighbor; someone that "never met a stranger". Benita was a God-fearing woman who had a profound love for gardening and raising chihuahuas. She made countless friends as a hairdresser for many years and had a powerful, ear-piercing whistle used at social events or to call the kids home for supper. Benita's family will be hosting a private memorial service, honoring her final wishes, in Odessa, Texas, in the upcoming weeks. As an expression of sympathy, flowers will be welcomed and appreciated, as gardening was a fond pastime of Benita's.
