Christopher Aaron Lafferre

Christopher Aaron Lafferre, 39, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at his home. Born on April 12, 1980 in Homestead, Florida, he was the son of Matthew Lafferre and Sharon Barttels. Christopher always had a passion for Firefighting and joined the Air Force Fire Division in 1999. Finally setting roots in New Braunfels when he fulfilled his dream of joining the Austin Fire Department and was with them 15 years. Chris loved spending time with family and friends. He was well known to be a great storyteller and always had an amazing presence and grace about him. His children were the lights of his life and he was a loving and devoted father. Chris is survived by his beloved children, Blake Aaron Lafferre (12) and Leah Michelle Lafferre (10); parents, Matthew Lafferre and his wife Lilly, and Sharon Diane Barttels and her husband Philip; sister, Candice McPherson and husband David; half-siblings, Jeffrey Lafferre, Jennifer Young, and Michelle Buchanan. Chris also leaves behind his furry best friend, his dog, Bella. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00-8:00 PM. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park with Fire Department and Air Force honors.
