Clara B. Wersterfer

clara wersterfer
Clara B. Wersterfer of New Braunfels completed her earthly journey on September 4, 2020 and went to her eternal home in Heaven. Clara was at home surrounded by her family at her bedside. She was born in Asheville, NC on June 4, 1933 to Leila and William Burrell but lived most of her life in New Braunfels. She met and married the love of her life David A. Wersterfer - it was Love at First Sight. They enjoyed travelling, but Las Vegas was their favorite destination. They loved playing cards and dominoes every weekend with their friends. Clara had many jobs through her life, but her two greatest adventures were working in the stock market and being a partner at Blue Bonnet Travel Agency. Clara loved all creatures great and small but especially her dogs and cats. She was the most loving person; everyone whom Clara met, she touched their lives. For many they adopted her as their own. In her later years she decided to take up writing and had stories published online and in several books used worldwide; they were adored so much that some used her stories in textbooks for learning English and her stories brought happiness to so many people. Clara was preceded in death by her parents William and Leila Burrell; her husband David A. Wersterfer and her son Michael Peterson. Survivors include her daughter Judy Peterson of Ooltewah, TN; granddaughter April Scrimpsher (Jeffrey Scrimpsher) of San Antonio, TX, Jill Plumb (Salim Plumb) of Dallas, TX; daughter-in-law Mary Lou Peterson; great grandchildren Gabriel, Lyla, Jasmine, Farrah Plumb and Scarlett Scrimpsher
