Dean E. McMillian

Dean E. McMillian, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at his sister's residence at the age of 69. Dean was born on August 19, 1947 in Houston to the late Ira Dean McMillian and Norma Crowson McMillian. Later in life, Dean served in the United States Naval Reserves for six years, serving on the USS Providence during the Vietnam War. Dean received his honorable discharge from the US Naval Reserves in 1969. He later spent 18-years in sales with Armco Steel. Survivors include his sister, Tammy Ashley; aunt, Jean Baetty and a host of cousins to include Stephanie Honeycutt, Peggy, Judy and Tim Partin, Carol and Tina Bates, Rick, Steven, Debbie, Jeff and Stanley McMillian. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 22, 2016 with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 PM, all of which will take place at the Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. A reception will follow at the River Road Ice House immediately following the burial.
