Delma Veld

Delma Marie Veld, 74, will be interned with her husband at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetary in Killeen, TX. Ms. Veld died on Monday, October 11, 2021, at her residence in San Antonio, TX. She was born in Worcester, MA to Wallace F. Schonborg and Josephine Katonis Schonborg, and was reared in Worcester, MA. She married John Veld on January 28, 1967. She lovingly supported the life of an Army soldier, moving from place to place, while working as a certified nursing assistant in nursing homes. She is survived by her two daughters Patricia Lynn Veld of Woodbridge, VA and Melinda Anne Vanderdrink of New Braunfels, TX, one grand-child Jayden Matthew Vanderdrink, and three brothers Daniel Schonborg, Edward Schonborg, and Paul Schonborg of Worcester, MA. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials may be made to St. Gabriel's Hospice 1100 NE Loop 410, Suite 220, San Antonio, TX 78209.
