January 31, 1986 ~ May 26, 2012
Derek Conrad Dixon, beloved son of Bonnie and Nick Dixon entered into Heaven on May 26, 2012. Derek was born January 31, 1986, in San Antonio, Texas.
He is survived by his loving parents;sister, Erika Dixon; brothers, Chad Dixon and Jason Dixon; grandparents, Vivian and Gary Barnes; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Derek's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. He attended Canyon High Schoolin New Braunfels, Texas.
Derek will be truly missed as he touched the hearts of many.
Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday May 31, 2012 at the Community Bible Church in Spring Branch, Tx.

Derek was such a sweet young man!! He was my son’s best friend and spent many nights in my home. He lived life to it’s fullest and always had a smile on his face. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. His memory will live on in our hearts!!

There are not enough words to express how truly missed Derek will be ….anytime I saw him he was smiling and giggling…these are the memories I cherish….He really lived his life to the fullest…Carry that smile of his in your heart as this will give strength to move forward…
Only knew Derek since Aug,2011 when he started at Tom’s Quick Lube, man we all miss him so much he would just brighten up the room with his sarcasm and wit , always made us laugh, made work so much fun.. we are a close nit group at Tom’s –wont be they same without him,My heart goes out to his family, and I want them to know he loved his family and always spoke highly of them.. We love you brother..
I remember you always just showing up and laughing and smiling and you would always bum a beer or a cigarette and I would always give you shit always( just joking) but you in some way always gave it back I love you and miss you!!! Pppppppppppppp!!!!!

Hi Bonnie and Nick and family, We were saddened to see the obituary about Derek. Yes, he was so young. I remember the words of comfort you gave me, Bonnie, when our daugher was killed. I wish those words back to you now. D & J
I can still see your face as you were walking out the door the last time I saw you. Gone way to soon little brother but we will see eachother again.

I will always remember you as the last time I saw you: Standing in the living room with the family, smiling ear to ear, cracking jokes through laughter – a moment that captured your essence. I will always cherish all of the wonderful memories we had together. Although our time together was short, it was the quality of that time that was important. God called you home, but one day I know we will reunite in Heaven. I love you, little brother.
Derek, I can see you now standing tall and bold, I know that you have seen GOD’s face and you are living in the house of your LORD.
