Diann R. Damon, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away at home unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon, October 3, 2018 at the age of 35. Diann was born on March 18, 1983 in New Braunfels to David Ortiz and Anna (Brown) Metzger. For the past five years, Diann was employed as a secretary for Buckley Powder Co here in New Braunfels. She was preceded in death by her big brother, Chris Harding and by her grandma, Nadine Seymour. Survivors include her husband, Brandon Damon; sons, Christian, Jake and Dakota; mom, Anna Metzger; dad, David Ortiz; sisters, Tammy Harding and husband, Dan and Amber Rau and husband, Rocky; brother, Sonny Weber and wife, Tamra; best friend, Michael Talbott and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 8, 2018 at the funeral home. All services will end at the conclusion of the funeral on Monday afternoon.

  2. I can’t imagine sitting at football without you. I will have nobody to explain the rules to me. I’m going to miss your beautiful smile and witty comments. I think my first time back to the gym will be hard because I won’t have you to chat about our days and the kids. Im grateful For the memories and I will cherish the beautiful photos you captured of my baby girl and remember that crazy hot session forever. Lord how we tried to get her to smile.   3. Please accept my deepest condolences for the passing of your loved one. May God almighty, father of tender mercies comfort you all (2 Corinthians 1:3,4). We all look forward to the fulfillment of God’s promise to completely remove death tears mourning,outcry and pain (Revelation 214). The Bible also provides assurance of the resurrection hope for our dead loved ones at John 5:28,29. May God continue to strengthen you all.

  5. DiAnn was such a beautiful soul taken way to soon!! Her contagious laughter and beautiful smile is something I’ll remember forever!! Her love for her two boys and family was amazing to watch!!!
