Georgina Esther Hernandez, 80, passed away peacefully in New Braunfels, Texas on Wednesday afternoon, February 10, 2021. Georgina was born October 28, 1940 in El Paso, Texas. The oldest of five children. Her parents, Felipe Jesus Hernandez and Georgina Anna Casillas Hernandez, preceded her passing. Georgina was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Georgina graduated from Loretta High school in 1958, in El Paso. She worked as an office manager for Doctor Gladstone and Feinstein in El Paso. She was blessed to have lived her life by traveling and being surrounded with a loving family, she also enjoyed playing Canasta with her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her children, Gerome Griffin, Jr. and Kina Davis and her husband Clayton. Grandchildren Eliesha Cavanaugh and her husband Matthew, Elijah Davis and Samantha Davis. Great-grandchildren Micheal Cavanaugh, Corbin Cavanaugh, Matison Cavanaugh, Griffin Cavanaugh, Hollyn Cavanaugh and Abraham Cavanaugh. Sisters Natalia Chambers and her husband Todd, Leticia Navarrete and her husband Dr. John Navarrete. Brothers Felipe Hernandez and wife Bertha, Ricardo Hernandez and Marianne Elliot and Gerome Griffin Sr. Many nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved dearly.
