Guadalupe Marmolejo Valadez was born in San Benito, TX on May 6th 1943 to Guadalupe and Tomasa Marmolejo. As a young woman she worked as a migrant worker where she met and fell in love with Louis Valadez, Jr., and married in June of 1962. They had 8 children during their union, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren along with many numerous adopted grandchildren over her wonderful life. Survivors are her children Leticia Sanchez (Michael) of Spring Branch,TX, Jose Valadez (Lucia) of Bryan,TX, Rebecca Valadez, Mario Valadez (Monica), Samuel Valadez, Guadalupe Gonzalez ( John ) of Wylie,TX , and Louisa Lytle (Brandon). A brother Jesus Marmolejo, a sister Delores Garcia and numerous nieces and nephews. She had her 11 grandchildren and their spouses whom she devoted her life to help raise. She also was honored to be the Godmother to her numerous Godchildren. The greatest joy in her life was to enjoy the 2 great grandchildren. She loved all of her adopted children and grandchildren she accumulated that brought joy and love in to her life. Proceeded in death are her parent, her loving husband Louis Valadez, Jr., her son Louis Valadez, lll, her granddaughter Victoria Anabelle Valadez and by a number of brothers and sisters. Guadalupe loved her church and Catholic faith, she and her spouse were active in church while they lived in Plainview,TX including being marriage encounter sponsors and Cursillos. She also was apart of the GuadalupaƱas. Also served as a Sunday school teacher she extended her service to the schools and activities her children were involved in. She grew and helped support her family by her love of sewing baking and babysitting. She loved music and singing and told lots of stories. She was wise and always extended her knowledge to help others before herself. She will missed and loved always.
