Jackie Bruce Stewart, Jr.

Jackie, also known by his family and friends as "JB", passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2021 in Seguin, Texas. He was born on October 1, 1984 in Cuero, Texas to Jackie Bruce Stewart Sr. and Patty Ann Stewart. Jackie grew up learning the ropes of being a cowboy along side his dad, Jackie Sr, who worked many years as a ranch manager on several ranches in South Texas, and in the Gonzales, TX area. Breaking horses and taking care of cattle and all that cowboys do. In 1995 the Stewart family moved back to Smiley, Texas and in 2004 Jackie graduated from Nixon-Smiley High School and worked at the Lazy F Guest Ranch in Smiley and a couple other jobs after high school. In December of 2007, Jackie was introduced to April by a mutual friend of theirs and the attraction was instant, so much so that they have been together since the night they met. Jackie and April would say they where soul mates, The special bond and love they had for each other is something that most people look their whole lives for. Jackie knew he would always be by April’s side. At that time Jackie was working with a road construction company but that company soon folded and shut down. He moved to New Braunfels with April and her son Stetson and started working for Bloch Electrical Services out of Seguin. Not too long after Jackie moved to New Braunfels, they found out April was pregnant and a year after they met, they welcomed a son, Jaxson Brice Stewart, into the world on December 9, 2008. Eighteen months later April was pregnant again! The couple welcomed a daughter, Brooklin Ann Stewart, into the world on June 11, 2010. Brooklin had Jackie wrapped around her finger the moment he laid eyes on her. Jackie loved his kids very much and loved spending time with all three of them. There weren’t many times you saw Jackie without the kids tagging along. Jackie was so proud of Jaxson and his natural talent for baseball. Jackie was his loudest cheerleader and biggest fan. You could hear Jackie across the field cheering him on. He was always bribing Jaxson with cash while batting to hit a home run. He loved watching him play and always said “My boy is gonna be something someday you watch!” Brooklin was his sweet baby girl and rode on his shoulders every where they went from the time she could sit up until she got too heavy for him to throw her up there. He started it all to keep her quiet because she hated walking. He painted her finger nails, took her for manicures and pedicures, and let her put makeup on him often. Jackie would do whatever Brooklin asked of him. Jackie is survived by his wife April, along with their children,Stetson, Jaxson, and Brooklin. He is also survived by his little sister, Brandy Lynn Stewart and her children: Layne Bruce Stewart, Kaylie Ann Gayle McDonald, and Mason Judd McDonald of Nixon, Texas. Jackie is preceded in death by his parents, Jackie Bruce Stewart Sr. and Patty Ann Sievers; and his grandpa, Merle Kelley (Tince) Stewart. Jackie and his mom Patty had a mother-son bond like no other: they loved spending time together outside and were always getting into something. Jackie will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He had an infectious laugh and was always willing to help someone in need. His life was cut way too short and he still had a lot of things he wanted to do, but God must have needed him more than we did. He left a hole no one can fill and will be missed dearly.
