Jackie "Jack" Dale Foster

Jackie "Jack" Dale Foster, 88 of San Antonio, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in New Braunfels. Born on December 9, 1930 in Wauchula, Florida, he was the son of the late Lewis William Foster and Virginia Brim Foster. Jack is survived by his wife, Judith Esther Foster; daughters Melanie Winters, Lisa Burke and her husband John; grandchildren, Colleen Burke and Sean Burke; his stepchildren, Leonor Ramirez, Jorge Ramirez and wife Irasema, Judith Olmeda and husband Luis Ivan; step grandchildren Jorge Ramirez, Luis Abraham Ramirez, Genesis Ramirez, Monserrat Ramirez, Ana Camille Olmeda, Luis Ivan Olmeda, and Nicolas Olmeda. Following a 24 year US Air Force career that took him to duty assignments in Texas, Virginia, England, the Philippines, Pakistan, and Germany, Jack completed a second career with General Dynamics that sent him to Iran and California. In retirement Jack spent his days ballroom dancing, gardening, traveling and playing many rounds of golf. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Mission San Francisco De La Espada, 10040 Espada Rd., San Antonio, TX 78214 at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow with military honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, 78209 at 1:15 p.m.
