Jacquelyn Ann Williams, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died peacefully, surrounded by family at her home in New Braunfels on the evening of Saturday, November 4, 2017. She was 87. Mrs. Williams was born on August 24, 1930, in Eureka, Kansas, to Lillian Viola (Bolte) Phelps and Carl Don Phelps. She attended schools in Oklahoma, Kansas, Kentucky, and Texas, graduating from Odessa High School in 1948. She married Harold Lee Williams in 1948. She was an administrative secretary in Ector County Independent School District and retired in 1987 after over twenty years of service. She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in New Braunfels at the time of her death. Mrs. Williams is survived by Harold Williams, her husband of 69 years; her daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Gerald Schulke of New Braunfels, Texas, and Kelly and Mark Cowart of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Williams enjoyed adventures both in life and in literature. She was passionate about her friends and her family and has been called a true Southern lady, elegant, refined, kind, and gentle. She saw only the good in life. Viewing for Mrs. Williams will be on Friday, November 10, 2017, 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Lux Funeral Home, 1254 Business 35 N., New Braunfels, Texas. A memorial service will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church, 1620 Common Street, New Braunfels, Texas, on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 1:30 P.M. A graveside service will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park, 2951 State Hwy. 46 South, New Braunfels, Texas.

I know she has really enjoyed being closer to family since moving from Odessa several years ago. You have some awesome family memories to sustain you in the years to come.
