Janey Selby
August 23, 1946 ~ April 30, 2019
Janey Selby, age 72, and a resident of New Braunfels, passed away at home after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer, on Tuesday morning April 30, 2019. She was surrounded by her loving family throughout the whole fight. Janey was born on August 23, 1946 in San Antonio to Alexander Rachels and Doris Chambers Rachels. During her professional career, Janey was a commercial realtor. More importantly, she was a devoted wife, mother and Nana. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Travis Selby; her sister, Doris (Puddin) Tudyk; and her beloved companion in adventure, Bobby Rex. Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Reininger; son, Alexander Crawford; grandchildren, Mason and Maddie Reininger, Sarah Bombard, Gage and Bryton Selby and Jeanne Ince. In addition, Janey is survived by her sisters, Betty Rolin, Peggy Fuller, and Ellen (Perky) Pitts, and many lifelong family friends.
A special thanks to the professionals at Hope Hospice, especially her nurse Julie and home health aide Monica, for their nurturing and honorable service to Janey.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel.

Dear Stephanie and Alexander, I was so very saddened to hear about your mother’s passing. She was always so kind and loving to me and my family.
