It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing away of Javier Moncivais Sr. at the age of 57 on August 26th, 2020. Born on June 25, 1963, to Anita and Lorenzo Sr. in Laredo, TX. He moved his family to New Braunfels in 1993 and had a 33-year career with Union Pacific Railroad. He retired in 2016 and enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing the TX lottery, and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren. Javier was an active member of The Acts Ministry and the Holy Name Society at HFC NB. He spread the gospel with such joy no matter who you were or what you believed in, he was a friend to all. Javier was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo Sr. and Anita, sister, Thelma, nephew, Gilbert, and aunts, Jane Reyes and Consuelo Perez. He was dearly loved and will be forever remembered by his wife Hilda and their children Lizette (Brian), Cristina (Bradley), Javier Jr. (Elizabeth), Alyssa (Dawson), and Valerie, his beautiful grandchildren, Jaden, Isaac, Emma, Emily, Elianna, and Aubree, his siblings Lorenzo, Jr., Reynaldo, Arturo, Filiberto, and Annabel.
