jeffery oroian
Jeffery Oroian, 66, was born July 29, 1952 to Brota Oroian and Millicent Warner Oroian, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He died September 1, 2018 at his sister’s home, surrounded by his family, after a brave fight with cancer. In December 1954, the family moved to San Antonio, Texas, where he graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1971. He joined the US Air Force and served in many combat related capacities during the Vietnam War. His family was awed by his intelligence and the love he had for all children. He could walk into a room and make someone feel like they were the most important person. Jeffery leaves behind son, Brota (Angela) Oroian, daughter Rahnee (Dave) Welker and son Robert (Charm) Thongsavanh. He will be dearly missed by his 5 granddaughters, Kairi, Brenna, Hannah, Naomi, and Ariya. He also leaves behind sisters, Pat (Steve) Young, Pam (Bill) Hockersmith, Mary (Tim) Owens, Gail (Ryan) Guest, Tracy (Kelly) McGrath- White, and brothers, Paul (Maryann) Oroian, Gary (Dolores) Oroian, Moe (Colleen) Oroian, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Bogey and sister Christine. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in his name, to Hope Hospice of New Braunfels, Texas or Quilts of Valor, P.O. Box 191, Winterset, Iowa 50273. A celebration of Jeffery’s life will be held on Saturday, September 15th from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the home of Ryan and Gail Guest.
