Jesse Ramos Flores

Jesse Ramos Flores, Sr., loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather was called home by our Lord on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the age of 79. Jesse was born on April 6, 1934 in Wilson, County to Sedildo Flores and Julie Ramos Flores. Most of Jesse's professional career was spent as a machinist at Mission Valley Textile Mill, where he retired after 20-plus years of dedicated service. Jesse enjoyed baseball, football, BBQ cooking and spending time at River Road, Landa Park and the coast. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his loving wife of 55-years, Estefana A. Flores; daughters, Rachel Rodriguez and husband, Santos and Rosemary Torres and husband, Ruben; sons, Jesse, Jr. and Steve Flores; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Elena Castilleja, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment will immediately follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery. Please note: there will not be a procession from the funeral home to the church on Thursday morning. Those wishing to attend the Funeral Mass are asked to meet at the church at 9:45 AM on Thursday morning.
