Johnny "Skywalker" Siller

Johnny Joe Siller, affectionately known by many as "The Skywalker", passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in New Braunfels at the age of 62. Johnny was born on January 12, 1951 in San Antonio to Reyes Siller, Jr. and Mary Louise Pena. Johnny worked as an auto mechanic in San Antonio for many years. He was also legendary in the San Antonio community for his love of softball, having played for numerous teams in the area. He will be sorely missed. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Danny Lee Siller. Survivors include his son Cliff Robles, brothers, Robert, David and Ronnie Siller; sister, Deborah Morales; two aunts; one uncle and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Viewing will begin in New Braunfels at Lux Funeral home, 7 to 9pm Friday Oct 25, 2013. Funeral services to be held on Saturday Oct 26th 2013 at St Henry's Catholic Church, 1619 S. Flores, San Antonio 78204, viewing from 10 to 11am, service at 11am and reception 12 noon until 3pm.

  1. My Condolences to the family. Johnny had the ability to disregard the craziness of life, and find joy in the simple things. Playing basketball, softball, cooking or simply watching John Wayne movies.It was an ability that I often envied. Johnny helped me and countless others, he had a true giving heart. He lived his life the way it was supposed to be lived. I will truly miss him, and will never forget him.

  2. Johnny was such a wounderful and caring man. He cared and helped everyone he new any way he could. He loved to be in Johnny’s Country Kicthen cooking it up in there. People really enjoyed eating Johnny’s food. It was to die for!!!! I think god cheated Johnny out of the last couple of years of his life. It just wasnt fare for him to go through what he had to the way he did the last couple years. Im very blessed to say I had Johnny as a good friend. Im gonna miss him so so much and know others will also. Till we see eachother again. Love U Johnny (Great Skywalker)!!!! <3 <3

  3. My deepest condolences for the Siller family at this time. Johnny was a great man that could always put a smile on your face. I will miss him dearly, as well as everyone else that knew him. We love you Johnny the “Skywalker”.

  13. My cousin Johnny was truly a unique individual who “electified” the air around him. He was a very talented athlete and mechanic. We were close like brothers many years ago. I can’t believe you’re gone cousin. May God bless you.
