Jolene Frida Meyer was born in New Braunfels, Texas on July 28, 1943 and went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2018. Her parents were Ottmar and Evelyn (Schumann) Neuse. She had a stroke in December 2017 and was at Legend Oaks Healthcare since then. She attended Solms School and graduated from Canyon High School in 1961. After working for the Comal County Tax Office, she began working for her brother Leroy at Neuse Paving and Hauling. Jolene enjoyed NASCAR and country music. In her younger years she enjoyed nine pin bowling, trail riding, hunting and playing Bingo. She also enjoyed people and had a kind and good heart. She loved to attend the Youth Show, Marion Volunteer Fire Dept., and the Garden Ridge Lions Club fundraisers to support them through Neuse Paving and her donated auction items. The most important thing to Jolene was family. She loved them all and loved to help them out. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Leroy Neuse. She is survived by her brother, Cecil Neuse and Becky; and sister-in-law, Brownie McDavid-Neuse. She was loved by her nephews, Ryan (Erin) Neuse, Jared Neuse, Byron (Jessica) Neuse, TyWayne (Debbie) Graef, Mickey (Janet) Graef; niece, Kay (Jim) Scanlon; and also great nieces and nephews. A viewing will take place at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. A Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
