  12. Lora, I found this poem and thought of You! Remember Me By: Tonjha Monaco Remember me when you hear the wind blow. I am with God, I need you to know. He called my name, and I went to see If the voice I heard was speaking to me. He took my hand, we walked along The road to heaven, where I belong. The angles sang so sweet and clear. They sang of love and that Jesus is near. I felt his touch, I saw his face, I knew in an instant I was in his grace. He spoke to me, I heard him say, You are home now child, you have found your way. So remember me when you hear the wind blow. I am home now with God, I need you to know.

  13. It’s been many years since I’ve had any regular contact with Lord, but I was very blessed to have her as a high school classmate that always radiated joy and a positive outlook on life. Her consistent witness and life even in high school was a tribute to her faith and her up-bringing. It was a great blessing to have Lora and Kenny stop by our house in Omaha in about 2002. Deepest condolences to Lora’s family at this time of great loss.

  14. On behalf of myself and Class of 2019 at NBHS, I’d like to express my deepest condolences to the Means family in this time of great loss. Ya’ll in all of our thoughts and prayers.

  15. We are so sorry to hear about Lora’s passing. We hope you find comfort knowing that so many friends and relatives are thinking of you and remembering your family in their prayers. With deepest sympathy from your Means 2nd cousins in California —

  16. My heart goes out to your family. I attended high school with Lora, and we grew up living within a few miles of each other as kids. After losing contact with her, we’d exchanged texts and emails over the past couple of years. What an example of unwaivering faith and love for her friends and family!

  17. I am so sorry to learn of her struggles. She had a smile that lit up the music room! My sympathy to her family. Shana Gullickson Smidt, her music teacher.

  18. My heart felt sympathy for your family. I went to school and Church with Lora and her family. She always had a radiant smile and extremely friendly. Gods peace to her Husband, Children, parents and siblings.

  19. The highest compliment that I can give to Lora was that she made a tremendous and positive difference in the lives of hundreds if not thousands of young children, mine included. Her classroom was a place that was fun to learn and her passion to help her students lives on. I pray God grants her family His peace and comfort. Our deepest sympathy and prayers are with you.

  20. I am so sorry for your loss. Lora was a bright spot in every life she touched. I can’t even begin to tell you how much my life was enriched because of her. Lora was the kind of person everyone wanted to be around. You could just feel her love and zest for life. You could feel her love and pride as she talked about her family. I feel so blessed just because of knowing her. You must feel tremendous peace knowing she is no longer suffering. I will pray for you everyday as you grieve. I would be so honored to do anything to help your family. Please call on me if you need anything. May you feel God’s love during this very difficult time.

  21. We extend our sympathy to Lora’s family. A special greeting and sympathy to Ray and Connie, whom we knew well. May God keep you in His care and give you His strength for the coming days.

  22. Lora had a smile that would brighten the whole room. That’s the truth because that is what I remember most about her. She was my eldest son’s third grade teacher. I can still see us walking in her classroom for meet-the-teacher and her smile filled the entire space. She was so warm and so kind. I remember my son saying to me, “she’s too young to be my teacher.” And there was that smile again. She gently took his hand and walked him over to her chalkboard. We could see all of her former students and classroom pictures lining her chalkboard. She was so gentle, not one word spoken until she winked at me said, “I like him.” Oh, Lora, you will be so missed. Thank you for all the smiles and kind words you’ve shared. Thank you for teaching our children. We hold your family in our prayers and send our deepest sympathies, Jerry, Sharla, Austin, Tristan and Catherine Clark

  23. As I read the lovely posts from parents of Lora’s students, I’m taken back to when we were kids. Ray & Connie & family were still living in SD & we would celebrate any/every holiday together. Lora had that same spark as a kid that she had as an adult. Our thoughts & prayers are with your family at this time.

  24. Connie and Ray, So very sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathy and thoughts and prayers are with you.

  25. My heart is truly broken. Lora lived about a mile from me growing up and she was one of my very best friends and we spent a great deal of time together when we were young. We rode our bikes, went to the corner store, walked bean fields, & told each other our deepest secrets! Lora had a smile that never changed and a cheerful attitude that went right with it. The world is a little sadder and Heaven is a little brighter. My deepest sympathies to her family. May you, in time, find some peace knowing she is still smiling and loving you all, & waiting for you to come Home. God bless you and I am so very deeply sorry for the loss and pain I know you are feeling.

  26. I taught down the hall from Lora for two years. She was a teacher you would want your children to have. She was always so warm and friendly and worked hard to make her students successful. I am so sorry for the tremendous loss of your wife and mother. She will be so missed. You all have been and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

  27. To all of the family of Lora, especially Carin- I was so so sad to see Lora’s obit in the Hutchinson Herald. Lora was ALWAYS smiling in happy in school…what a sweetheart. It makes my heart happy to hear she was strong in her faith. God bless all of you at this difficult time. -Stacey Aisenbrey Hall

  28. It breaks my heart to hear about Lora. I taught with her in Gilbert, Arizona. She was such a sweetheart, and I will never forget her.

  29. It was a sad day yesterday when I read of Lora’s passing in the Waldorf College alumni email. We lived on the same dorm floor our freshman year and although I haven’t seen or talked to her since our college days, I still remember her cheerful nature and sense of fun. My sincere condolences to her family.

  30. I just heard about Lora’s passing today. My nephew had her in Sweetwater. He LOVED her!! I also had the privilege of teaching with her the year before y’all moved away from Sweetwater. I thought very highly of her! Please accept my condolences!
