Marcelino S. Gonzalez

Marcelino S. Gonzalez, age 70, passed away at Christus Santa Rosa on Friday, February 19, 2021. Marcelino was born on June 2, 1950 in Limones, Mexico to Estanislao Gonzalez and Ma. Altagracia Sanchez. Mr. Gonzalez liked to garden and could frequently be found in his backyard building something. He was a huge Houston Astros fan, and in his younger days, he was a softball/baseball coach. Marcelino is preceded in death by his father, and his sister, Maria Isabel. He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Gabriela Moreno Gonzalez; children, Mario, Esther, Jose, Marcelino Jr., Maria, Kaylynn, Naomi, Marcos, Jose Eduardo and Gabriela; 36 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and siblings, Pedro, Javier, Ismael, Salomon, Angelica, and Leticia. Visitation will be held from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume from 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Iglesia Bethel with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Santo Tomas Cemetery. Due to COVID, everyone attending the services must wear a mask.
