Maria G. Samudio, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, December 06, 2013 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband Eduardo Samudio, Sr., son, Eduardo Samudio, Jr., Survivors include sons, Juan M. Samudio (Mello) and Guillermo Samudio and wife Diana; daughters, Gloria Aguilar and husband, Victor, Alicia Espinoza, Maria A. Webster and husband, Ruben, Esther Dailey and husband, Marty, Rose Lujan, Celia Flores and husband, Larry, Yolanda Trevino, Sandra Barrientos and husband, Mario, Angie Martinez and husband, Ezra, and sister Victoria Saygidia In addition, Maria is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with the Funeral Mass beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Comal Cemetery. Please note: there will not be a procession from the funeral home to the church on Wednesday morning. Those wishing to attend both the visitation and Funeral Mass are asked to meet at the church on Wednesday morning. In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions would be greatly appreciated to help the family with funeral expenses. Special thanks to the staff at Odyssey Hospice of San Marcos for their kind and compassionate care during Maria's illness. After the committal service at Comal Cemetery, the family invites everyone to join them for deserts and refreshments at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church-St. Mary's Hall.

  3. She will be miss by her god daughter Michelle Espinoza Vera and great granddaughter Alexis and her grandson Raymond we love her so much may she rest in peace grandma we have two angels watching over us.

  4. Ma is now resting in peace with Pops..I miss them both so much. I’ll never forget how she taught me and Edy how to prepare and make Nopalitos and how good her mole’ was. I always respected and Loved her and Pops so much. When I married Celia I never knew or realized how great my newly found family is. I will always miss you Ma. give Pops and my Dad a hug for me. Look down on us and help guide us on the right path so we can all be together.
