Marilyn Raye Phillips

Marilyn Raye Phillips, 81, of New Braunfels, was welcomed in Heaven on Monday, November 4, 2019 in the comfort of her home. Born on April 19, 1938 in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Weaver and Kathryn Young Weaver. Marilyn was an avid gardener, known for her green thumb. She loved cooking, always making sure that was more than enough for everyone. Marilyn never met a stranger, and enjoyed talking to everyone she met with her gift for gab. As a grandmother, she delighted in spoiling her grandchildren. Marilyn’s legacy was passed on to her children, Roy Phillips and wife, Kay; Lisa Akers; and Patricia Piñon and husband, Anthony; 5 grandchildren, Austen, Andrew, Emily, Isaiah and Nolan; 2 great grandchildren, Payton and Cole; and two sisters, Karolyn Jones and Peggy Hughes and husband Gary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother; two sisters; and brother-in-law.
