  1. Our aunt Mary was one of the BEST aunt’s you could have. She had a very very caring loving heart . I remember when we were all Little she would make us cupcakes and make us hotdog’s and invite us over or take us all to the park. She always wanted to do something with us even tho we were little kids. She also took great care of my grandparents..she devoted her life in caring for them. Aunt Mary was a blessing to all of us and if you got the chance to meet her or know her then God blessed you with her presence…she was an Angel working on earth!! We love you so much aunt Mary..may you be at peace with no more pain..and be in a place so beautiful as you were!!!

  2. I remember as a kid Aunt Mary teaching me her favorite nursery rhymes. One of my favorites that she taught me was Little Bunny Foo Foo. It goes like this:

    Little bunny Foo Foo
    Hopping through the forest
    Scooping up the field mice
    And pop’em on the head!
And down came the good fairy and she said:
“Little bunny Foo Foo, I don’t wanna see you
Scooping up the field mice and pop’em on the head!
    I’ll give you three chances,
And then I’ll turn you into a goon!”

I didn’t realize it until now but I think as a kid I always saw Aunt Mary as “The Good Fairy” in that nursery rhyme. But with Aunt Mary it was never just three chances. She would give you as many chances as you needed. No matter what you did in life, no matter how good or bad you might be, she refused to turn anyone into a goon. And that is what I love about my Aunt Mary. She’ll always be The Good Fairy. I love you and I’ll miss you always.

  3. I remember when I was little and I Came to visit Aunt Mary and she took us to Seaworld for the first time ever and she would always say don’t tell your Uncle Fred!! Lol she was like a mom to not only to myself to all nieces and nephews. I loved her soo much.. until we meet again! Love you always Jessica Lee

  4. Aunt Mary …..The best Aunt ..the most loving cheerful kind hearted person you would ever have the pleasure of meeting…we all lost a very special person with out a doubt she will be missed very much….I will be ever thankful aunt Mary gave me my nickname Jackie Blue….till the day i last saw her she still called me Jackie Blue….I will be ever grateful my son had her as his God mother….so the most funny story I can think of is when we went to visit my sister Zena and brother in law James they had just moved in to the new house…well we couldn’t figure out the TV ..so we missed it up …and then it was cold so we kept saying it was cold upstairs…so finally James messed with the heat….I was out side helping Zena cover the plants and Aunt Mary was in the kitchen making some snacks or hot tea… anyways the fire alarm was set off…due to the new units…aunt Mary opens the back door … yelling it’s a fire …Zena and me run inside trying to get the kids but there is no smoke but the alarms are going off loud ….we are all running around like chickens with out heads ….and all the kids( Nick , Aubrey, Mikayla,Ben, Tyler) are all sleeping through the whole thing… finally James says it’s just the heating units burning since they are new…then alarm company calls …and then the neighborhood police come by…..come in and make sure everything is ok …so then aunt Mary turns to me and says”Jackie Blue well I don’t think Zena is going to want us visiting again…since we broke her house in….and we had the best laugh….Aunt Mary said that alarm almost gave me a heart attack….the whole drive home we laughed about it…that’s what I will miss the most is aunt Mary’s smile and laugh…love you Aunt Mary to the moon and back..

  9. Zena de Lemos
It’s an honor to share with you the memories of this exceptional woman I was lucky enough to call ” my Aunt Mary. ” Funny thing, we all called her “MY” Aunt Mary, she was that special to each and every one of us. I couldn’t begin to count the times she tolerated our moods, consoled our heartbreaks and disappointments, endured our ups and downs, listened to words confused by tears, and just simply understood for no other reason than because she loved us. She filled our lives with comfort and sweet feelings that we will carry in our hearts forever. We learned so much from you about caring for others, you cared with a fierce passion unlike any that I have ever seen but that was your unconditional love. The day the Lord called you home, it broke our hearts to lose you but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, each and every one of us carries our own special memories of you within us so you are still with us. Most of my childhood memories are tinged with traces of me sitting at your kitchen table eating your chocolate cake, drooling while smelling your lemon pepper pork chops, and ( of course) learning the Hustle in your living room.
Aunt Mary, I will always miss you. But I have so many wonderful memories of you. I am so grateful that you were ” MY” Aunt Mary. I’ll always think of you with a smile on my face.
    Now you’re home.

  10. Gloria Moreno M.- Mary and I were friends since high school. We stayed in touch on and off during our friendship years. She was a great and very kind caring friend. I tried to reach her the pass several years but lost track of her and family. I will miss her dearly, for I know she is with God because of the person she was. Love you my friend.

  11. I met Mary Lou thru my sister Sylvia. I had the pleasure of spending time with her and “the gang” while we were all very young. Mary Lou was such a kind hearted and cheerful person. We had so many great times together and shared such fun and funny adventures. You will be missed. Rest in the loving arms of our Father. Maricela Bustos Roque
