  1. I am so sorry to hear about Pat, my friend and colleague for 32 years. I am stunned and crushed. I will always smile when thinking of “Mr Pat”. Pat was a brilliant guy in so many ways—humor, aircraft, writing, and on and on. I am so thankful/blessed that we ( his countless friends, family, and fellow crew members) got to travel together on this journey (life) Pat made the trip enjoyable for sure. Ann, we know it has been forever since seeing you, but please know you and your family are in our prayers. This is from the email Sue sent me upon her receiving the news and me asking her to look up anything about Pat’s passing. Sue found the link to this page and wrote to me: “This is what I found. Thought you could look at it tomorrow. I  have thought about them since we moved to Austin. I enjoyed and missed my friendship with Ann for the short time before they moved from Houston to New Braunsfels. This is so sad and hard to believe. “ My God bless and comfort your family. Our deepest sympathies, Keith and Sue

  4. Dear Hannan Family,

My name is Joe Rutkowski. I was Patrick’s supervisor through training at USA Jet Airlines. I cannot imagine how difficult his passing is for you all, but I want you to know that I am praying that God will give you consolation , understanding and even bring you to joy through this difficult time.

We all enjoyed working with Patrick. He was a quality guy… not looking out for himself, but thinking of others and always grateful with a good sense of humor. He even laughed when I made jokes! lol We are all very sorry to see him go – not having much time to enjoy his company… and join with you in your grief.

I hope you don’t mind me leaving a picture of Patrick’s class photo. A very good group of guys! Gives me a memory of the cohesiveness of this class of which Patrick was a big part!

    Sincerely,
    Joe Rutkowski
    Director of Training
    USA Jet Airlines

  8. Dear Ann & Family,
Please know that there are many of us who worked with Pat at Midroc who also feel a deep sense of sadness for your loss. Pat’s steady and sure hand at work was appreciated by all of us. Additionally, he never ceased to amaze me by his seemingly unending tidbits of knowledge about so many other subjects of which I had only a smattering of awareness. Best of all, of course, was his always ready quick wit and lurking smile waiting for you to realize he put one by you again. It was my great fortune to have known him even a short time.

    Roger Johnson

The Bible also provides assurance of the resurrection hope for our dead loved ones at John 5:28,29. May God continue to strengthen you all.

  11. Dear Hannan Family,
My deepest sympathy and prayers for your loss of Patrick. I was quite shocked to see the familiar name and read about Patrick, and to learn he lived in New Braunfels. Many, many years ago, the Hannans lived next door to my grandmother, Katie Hiller, in San Antonio. Bob, Patrick, and Mark were my very first baby sitting job way back then. My brother, Brooks also baby sat for them and my sister Kathryn remembers playing with him. It is so rewarding to read that Patrick grew up to be a wonderful man. I know you are all missing him and I am sure the grief seems overwhelming. I hope you are able to take comfort in knowing Patrick is now at rest and peace with God.
Prayers and peace be with you all.

    Tracy Hiller Harris

    • Dear Tracy, how kind of you to write. Yes, Pat was a wonderful man, selfless, always thinking of others. We miss him so much, but I do believe he is with God right now. Thanks for your kind words, and especially your prayers. Ann Hannan
