Pedro Ybarra, 58, born and raised in New Braunfels, passed away on January 1, 2021 in San Antonio. He was born on January 25, 1962 in New Braunfels. Pedro is survived by his nephews, Mario Ybarra, Gilbert Ybarra, and Robert Castillo; his cousin, Pablo "Cisco" Salazar. He also leaves behind many other nephews and large group of friends that knew him well as "Pistol Pete". Pedro was preceded in death by his mother, Reina Ybarra; brother, Juan Ybarra; nephew, Arlo Ybarra; and his grandson. Pedro was a very spiritual man and was proud of his Aztec Indian heritage. He deeply believed that his spirit would never die and that the Spirit Horse would guide is spirit to Heaven. He was also known to have a natural talent with animals, being able to train any dog easily, even ones labeled as "untrainable". All animals trusted him and he had a deep connection with them. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him and especially his family.
