Randall Lee Taylor
November 2, 1955 ~ October 3, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Randy Taylor announces his
passing on October 3rd, 2018, at the age of 62. He was born on
November 2, 1955 in Sherman, Texas to Lucian Connell Taylor and Donna
Marie Wooldridge Taylor. Randy spent 40 years working in the lumber
industry, first with McCoy’s Building Supply, then Guido’s Lumber
Company, and presently with Building Materials and Construction
Solutions.
Randy had a passion for singing. He attended Big Spring High School
where he sang with the Meistersingers and studied voice at Angelo
State University. As a member of both the Oakwood Baptist Church Choir
and the New Braunfels Community Chorale, Randy enjoyed the fellowship
of others and praising the Lord in song.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents and will be lovingly
remembered by his wife of 40 years, Sue Taylor, and his children,
Baylea Wheeler and husband Adam, and Chase Taylor and wife Mallory. He
delighted in his two grandchildren Lincoln and Oliver Wheeler. He is
survived by his siblings, Lucia Simmons and husband Gordy of Royal
Oak, Michigan, and Jerry Taylor of Lusk, Wyoming, as well as beloved
cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of Randy Taylor’s life will be held on October 13, 2018
at 10 am at Oakwood Baptist Church, 2154 Loop 337, New Braunfels,
Texas 78130.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association,
Breast Cancer Research Foundation, or a blood donation at a local
blood bank.
Please accept my deepest condolences for the passing of your loved one. May God almighty, father of tender mercies comfort you all (2 Corinthians 1:3,4). We all look forward to the fulfillment of God’s promise to completely remove death tears mourning,outcry and pain (Revelation 214). The Bible also provides assurance of the resurrection hope for our dead loved ones at John 5:28,29. May God continue to strengthen you all.

Randy was the first store manager I worked for in our career at McCoy’s. He taught me so much and helped shape my future. His laughter and humor was infectious. My deepest condolences to Sue and his children.
