Robert I. Ortega

Robert I. Ortega, born March 28, 1947, went to be with the Lord on October 11, 2016 at the age of 69. He was preceded in death by his mother Evelina Ibarra Ortega and one sister, Maria E. Ortega Blannin. Robert is survived by his loving wife and caregiver, Irene Ortega; his two brothers, Antonio Ortega (Carmen) and Ruben Ortega (Gloria); children Angela Ortega Harrison (William Riley), Orlando Ortega (Annie) and Robert M. Ortega (Joan); his grandchildren Gabriel, Payton, Dylan, and Jase Ortega; and numerous step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Born and raised in Del Rio, Robert was a lifelong resident of San Antonio, working in automobile sales for over 30 years. He was an avid reader, lover of food (there wasn't a restaurant in San Antonio Robert hadn't gone to) and passionate about sports, especially the Longhorns! A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at the Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 14335 O'Connor Rd, San Antonio, TX 78247.
