Rogelio S. Estrada, an avid fisherman and hunter, and resident of Schertz, passed away at his home on Friday, May 4, 2012 at the age of 60. Mr. Estrada was born on January 4, 1952 in San Antonio to Rogelio B. Estrada, Sr. and Encarnacion Sanchez. Rogelio served his country proudly in the United States Army. Following his service to our country, he was employed as a mechanic. Rogelio was preceded in death by his father, Rogelio B. Estrada, Sr. Survivors include his mother, Encarnacion; sons, Roger Estrada, III and fianc, Mayra and David Estrada; grandchildren, Kory and Kaylen Estrada; brothers, Juan and Paul Estrada; sisters, Mary Jane Aleman and Yvonne Estrada. A family gathering will take place from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Camillo Botello, Jr., M.S.F.-Celebrant. All services will end at the conclusion of the Memorial Mass.
