​Sergeant Ronald Lee Noe, age 63, passed away on October 6, 2018 in San Antonio. He was born in Lee County, VA, on October 25, 1954, and lived in San Antonio several times over the course of his life. An avid Sci-Fi, NASCAR, and Star Trek fan, Ron delighted in sharing his enthusiasm for his passions with others, oftentimes treating them to races, conventions, and movies. He married Jody C Noe on September 29, 1990. ​After serving 20 years in the Air Force as a dental and medical lab tech, Ron retired. His awards include the Meritorious Service Award with one oak leaf cluster, and an Air Force Commendation Medal. He is survived by his wife Jody, his older brother James (Barbara Martin) Noe, his daughters Kristen (Chris) Smith, Heather Noe, step sons Devin (Mikko) Pierce, and Ryan Pierce, his grandchildren Piper Smith, Madison Smith, Braeden Noe, Lily Noe, Ella Pierce, and Cohen Pierce. Ron ventured boldly forth unto the Final Frontier on October 6, 2018, surrounded by family.   2. Dear Jody, I am so sorry to hear this. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I can practically see Ron’s face as he looks around and checks out all heaven has to offer.

  3. Jody: This is Dana, we were all stationed together at RAF Lakenheath. I knew Ron as my best friend while stationed there, as we ate many meals together. I am so sorry for your loss, as I know Ron loves you so very much. I was sitting here at dinner in Gainesville, Florida. I was watching a game show and the last name of the family on the television was NOE. I have often wondered what had become of Ron but never stopped to try to locate him. I will miss never hearing from him, and regret not having reached out sooner.
