Shirley Kay Ellis, a resident of Converse, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Northeast Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 66. Shirley was born on February 2, 1950 in Odessa, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Comelia Mason; son, Emmett Ellis, Jr. and by a sister. Survivors include her loving husband, Emmett Eugene Ellis, Sr.; children, Michael Kuykendall, Tiffany Large, Tabatha Thompson, Laronda Devries, Laura Garcia, Frankie Ellis, Mary Doyle, Jessie Ellis, Penny Ellis and Eugene Beach; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Lipford and Donnie Anderson. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with funeral services beginning at 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 7, 2016. All services will end at the conclusion of the visitation on Thursday evening.
