She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Anthony “Toby” Taylor, her mother Erma Gass, her father Kenneth Gass, her sister Pamela Gass, her niece Courtney Gass, and her nephews Robert Hicks and Calan Gass. She is survived by her beloved children, Shelby Taylor, Khalil Albakri & Amanda Thompson, Jaree & Bruce Fortin, her precious grandchildren, Summer Hefner, Charlie Hefner, and Kylah Albakri, her loving brothers Robert “Bobby” Gass and Dale & Kristi Gass, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. A private family service will be held on August 25th, 2019 to honor her memory at Valiant Church, 2002 Postoffice, in Galveston. 1. To the family and friends, I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I hope you can find comfort in this scripture taken from 2 Corinthians 3,4 where it says: “Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all of our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God.”. I also hope that these scriptures might be of some comfort as well, Philippians 4:6, 7, Isaiah 26:19, and John 5:28, 29.
