Terry B. Yates, Jr.

Phillip B "Terry" Yates Jr., 69, of Spring Branch, TX, died unexpectedly in a car accident on Monday, September 28th 2015 in Bulverde, TX, Terry was born July 5th, 1946 in Dayton, TN. He was the son of Phillip B. Yates, Sr. and Sarah Ruth (Howard) Yates. He will be remembered by his daughters, Lori N Adkins (Yates) and Lisa C Kerr-Yates, Grandsons Andrew M. Adkins and Michael D. Green, Great Grandsons Liam and Jace Adkins, as well as his extended family members and many close friends. He also left behind his beloved Doberman, Beaudy, who was always with him. He was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, Class of "64". He was a veteran of the US Navy. Once a light weight boxing champion, he took pride in staying fit. He loved to play sports, especially baseball. He always stayed active and lived life to the fullest .He moved to Texas in the early 80's and made a home While in Texas he began his own air purification equipment business and ran the business until his retirement. He loved his Wranglers and Ostrich Skin Boots and Country and Western dancing. He loved his girls and would do anything he could for them. He was preceded in death by his Mom, Dad and little sister Clarice. A Memorial Service was held in San Antonio, TX. His daughters returned to Michigan with his remains and will be traveling to Dayton, Tennessee where he will be buried next to his family in the family plot.
