William W. DeFoy

William W. DeFoy, a resident of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels at the age of 59. William was born on May 25, 1956 in Detroit, MI to the late Charles DeFoy and Betty Sweet DeFoy. He served his country proudly in the United States Army and later was a truck driver for most of his working career. William was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Albert DeFoy. Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia DeFoy; children, Brad DeFoy, Shawn DeFoy and wife, Amy and Jennifer Swetz and husband, Steve; step-son, Mark Borden; grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Braden, Landon, Rylan, Destiny and Sean; brothers, Dan DeFoy and wife, Brenda and Richard DeFoy; sisters, Sherry Johnson and husband, Keith and Rose Budd and husband, Randy. In addition, William is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A memorial graveside service with military honors is scheduled for 10:15 am on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery
