Yolanda Sue Petty Byers went to meet her Lord at 2:23 pm in New Braunfels, TX on November 16, 2021 after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. Her loving husband and family was at her side. Yolanda was born on October 4, 1958 in Colby, KS to Norman E. and Vetha Y. (Barnes) Petty. Yolanda was proceeded in death by her father Norman Petty and brother-in-law, Gregory Short. She is survived by her loving husband Joe Byers; mother Vetha Petty; sisters Yvonne Short, Teresa Graham (Richard Treaster), and Victoria Stroud (Daniel); children Ava Crossland, Levi Armstrong (Heather), Cassandra Brown (Aaron) and Micah Armstrong; grandchildren Ashley Mead (Dillon), Alexis Shoemake, Trey Shoemake, Tristen Petty, Wyatt Brown, Tate Brown, McKenna Brown, Sydney Armstrong, Emma Armstrong, Elise Armstrong; and a great-grandson Norman Mead. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition, she is also survived by her precious fur babies Toby and Blue. Yolanda graduated from Widefield High School in 1976 and had a long career with Walmart. Yolanda retired from there to the Texas Hill country in 2018 to spend time with her loving husband and grandchildren. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local animal shelter and/or to Multiple Myeloma cancer research. Thanks to Hope Hospice and Resolute Hospital for the care they gave to this beautiful woman that will be missed by many.
