  1. My condolences to the Monte families. I’m sorry to hear about the loss of dear Cody. Some Bible scriptures that have helped me during times of loss include Isaiah 26:19 and Psalm 37:28,29 which states in part: “Your dead ones will live…They will rise up”. And the Bible also says “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will forever reside upon it”. Therefore the Bible promises that we may be reunited with our loved ones lost in death by means of an earthly resurrection. This is further confirmed by John 5:28,29 which says “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out”. This is possible thanks to Jesus Christ’s ransom sacrifice. Thus we have a genuine hope of everlasting life in a world without wickedness or suffering. I hope that these scriptures will be of some comfort to you.

  2. I’m so sorry to hear about Cody (Hazel). She was one of my Mom’s very best friends and was a lovely person. She also was responsible for setting my parents up on a blind date during WWII and so if it wasn’t for her we wouldn’t be here!! God rest your soul Cody, you will be truly missed and I’m sure you and Mom and Dad are having a very fun reunion in Heaven!!

  3. I’ve got to stop Googling the names of people I used to know and cared very much about. Sigh. Cody and Sal were clients of the veterinary clinic I first worked at when I moved to Los Angeles in 1983. They followed me later and became clients of my cat hospital for many years. Cody was one of my most loyal fans for the better part of 25 years. I’ll never forget her calm, soft-spoken demeanor even in the face of difficulties. She was a lovely and charming woman. Sending my love to Sal and all her family and friends in New Braunfels. — Gayle Robison, DVM
