Francisco M. Gomez, Jr.

Francisco M. Gomez, Jr., a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Thursday evening, June 8, 2017 at Kirkwood Manor Nursing Home in New Braunfels at the age of 74. Francisco was born on January 21, 1943 in Seguin to Francisco M. Gomez, Sr. and Rosa Magana Gomez. Mr. Gomez worked construction for most of his working life. He was preceded in death by his parents and his three brother, Manuel, Gilbert and Pete Gomez. Survivors include his former spouse of 30 years, Espi Gomez; children, Frank M. Gomez, III, Rene Gomez, Anthony Gomez, Mario Gomez, Michael Gomez and Francheska Gomez; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Rudy Gomez; sisters, Mary Perez, Dalia Gomez and Patty Martinez. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 409 W. Krezdorn St. in Seguin with Father David Tonary-Celebrandt. All services will end at the conclusion of the Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning.
