Adela Eva Robinson, age 95, and resident of Houston, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Adela was born on October 18, 1921 in Loire, TX to the late Alphons Adolph Chapaty and Annie M. Kolonko. Adela later married her husband, Walter Arthur Robinson, Lt. Col. USAF, Ret. on October 5, 1946. Adela traveled extensively with her husband. She and Walter were married and lived in San Antonio, TX then moved with the Air Force to Southern Pines NC, Ardmore, OK; Hamilton Parish, Bermuda; Knoxville, TN; Orlando, FL; Tokyo, Japan; Belleville, IL and Taichung, Taiwan. They retired and lived in Austin, New Braunfels, and Houston, TX. Adela was always happiest when hosting parties for her large family and friends. She was an excellent chef, and avid gardener and flower arranger. During her life, Adela was active in the Officer's wives club, a volunteer at St. John's Catholic School in Austin, and a faithful Catholic. Adela enjoyed life and was a blessing to be around. She will be sorely missed by all those who loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2011; parents; brothers, Marion Chapaty and Hubert David Chapaty; sisters, Regina Mary Chapaty Boullt, Clara Rose Chapaty Koch and Anne Louise Chapaty Bernhard. Survivors include her children, Kenneth Arthur Robinson and wife, Dorothy, Judith Ann Robinson Iverson, Gail Marie Robinson Williamson and husband, Mark, Jane Marie Robinson Kovar and husband, John, and Joyce Ann Robinson; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition, Adela is also survived by a sister, Eulalia Agatha Chapaty Harris. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with the Mass of Christian Burial scheduled for 12 noon. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Antonio. A reception will be held at St. Mary's Hall of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church immediately following the committal service.
