Ramon Medina Perez, Sr., a resident of Marion, passed away on Monday afternoon, March 6, 2017 at the age of 74. Ramon was born on September 20, 1942 in New Braunfels to Eugeneo O. Perez and Sofia Medina Perez. Mr. Perez worked as a butcher in the civil service sector for most of his professional career. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 57-years, Oralia Perez; children, Sophia Washington, Raymond M. Perez, Jr. and wife Sheila Perez, Sandra P. Cunningham and husband Darryl Cunningham, Sr., Patricia P. Jefferson, Angela Perez and Donny Joe Perez and wife Paula. In addition, Ramon is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. A time to greet and visit with the family will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM on Friday, March 10, 2017. The memorial service will begin at 7:00 PM. All services will end at the conclusion of the memorial service on Friday evening. Private interment will take place at a later date at the Hidalgo Cemetery here in New Braunfels.
