  1. My condolences to the Bennett families. I’m sorry to hear about the loss of dear Dr. Stephen. Some Bible scriptures that have helped me during times of loss include Isaiah 26:19 and Psalm 37:28,29 which states in part: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will forever reside upon it”. Therefore the Bible promises that we may be reunited with our loved ones lost in death by means of an earthly resurrection. This is further confirmed by John 5:28,29 which says “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out”. This is possible thanks to Jesus Christ’s ransom sacrifice. Thus we have a genuine hope of everlasting life in a world without wickedness or suffering. I hope that these scriptures will be of some comfort to you.

Some Bible scriptures that have helped me during times of loss include Isaiah 26:19 and Psalm 37:28,29 which states in part: “Your dead ones will live…They will rise up”. And the Bible also says “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will forever reside upon it”. Therefore the Bible promises that we may be reunited with our loved ones lost in death by means of an earthly resurrection. This is further confirmed by John 5:28,29 which says “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out”. 3. About six years ago, my cousin moved in with us. She was in desperate need of dentures and had no money. I called Dr. Bennett to find out if he knew of someone who could help my cousin. Dr. Bennett volunteered to provide the dentures at no cost. What a dear, dear man. I am so saddened by his passing.

  4. My condolences to the family. May my old pard, Nueces Ranger rest in God’s peace in beautiful tranquility. So long pard…may all your shots fly straight. Soon we’ll meet again and shoot every match clean. Until then, keep the barrel oiled and cartridges ready. Your fellow shooter of the soot, Howdy Nabor.

  5. canoeing down the devils river with thunderstorms in the forecast we sought shelter in a cave. We built a fire and watched the lightning show and rain all night being the real cavemen that we were. To many other memories of hunting and fishing together the last 30 years. miss you a lot. RIP see you in heavens happy hunting and fishing grounds

  7. Dear Sheryl,
So sorry to hear of Steve’s passing at such an early age. May you feel God’s comfort and peace as you move forward in your life. As a widow myself (Jack died 5 1/2 years ago after his bout with colon cancer that had metastasized to his liver), there will be good and not-so-good days ahead. I pray that the good days outweigh the bad…

I will be in New Braunfels in May, so if you feel like getting together, perhaps for brunch or lunch, email me at: dbellis1161@gmail.com.

    Love,
    Darlene Ellis
