Jessi S. Wong

September 2, 1953 ~ July 7, 2025
On the afternoon of July 7th, 2025, Jessi S. Wong joined her beloved ancestors and God in heaven’s peaceful eternity.
Born on September 2nd, 1953, Jessi Silos, daughter of Rebecca Silos, quickly became one of the most loving presences to all those who knew her. She grew up among her siblings Rebecca Senn, Nathaniel Silos, Joel Silos, Miriam Pratt, and Jonathan Silos in a cozy Texas home. To Jessi, love, kindness, and compassion was always of the utmost importance as a child of God and as a human being facing the prejudices of this world. Jessi married her husband Gary W. Wong on August 16, 1974, beginning a new chapter in her life’s story. The two welcomed three children into their family – Gary J. Wong, Aaron Wong, and Laura Wolf – and held each other in accordance to the vows that they swore by for 51 devout years. Jessi worked as a devoted woman of education for New Braunfels Independent School District, leaving the field she changed for the better in 2009 to do what pleased her most in her life; caring for the people of her family. For 17 years, Jessi lived her life defined by the granddaughters she graced with her everlasting love. Even through intense sickness, her immense adoration for her granddaughters – Ema Jessi Wong, Leona Wong, Sophia Wolf, Francesca Bella Wong, Elyana Wolf, Keely Wong, and Giana Wolf – remained unwavering until her final days. The love Jessi showed to the members of her family from her youth until her departure encompassed every second of her life, surpassing the barriers of distance and ill health.
Jessi is survived by her mother, five siblings, husband, three children, granddaughters and a large extended family of their spouses, nieces, and nephews. Jessi was a strong mother and grandmother who will now rest safely from all sickness and pain knowing that the people she loved most will remember her for many years to come.
A memorial service will be held on August 14 at 3:00PM at Oakwood Church, 2154 Loop 337 New Braunfels, TX 78130.

James 1:12 “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”
