Eddie Amaya
June 6, 1969 ~ July 19, 2025
Eddie Amaya, 56, of Yoakum, Texas, passed away on July 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Eddie spent many years working at ADM, where he was admired for his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic. To those who knew him best, however, Eddie was so much more than his work. He was a man who took joy in the simple things — grilling barbecue on weekends, watching his favorite movies, keeping his vehicles spotless, and most of all, spending time with the people he loved.
Family was the center of Eddie’s life. Whether it was cooking a meal, lending a helping hand, or simply sharing a laugh, Eddie’s happiest moments were always those spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren. His deep care and steady presence made him the heart of his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Amaya; his children Tim and Cody Zach; Brian and Jennifer Pullin; Megan Hernandez; and his beloved grandchildren Gage and Cora Zach; Bryle Pullin and Gabriel and Xavier Henandez. He is also survived by his brother Leonard Amaya III, and his sisters Jo Ann Moss, Mary Ann Cantu, and Margie Pierce, as well as his cherished cat, Bear, who was always by his side.
Eddie was preceded in death by his father Leonard Amaya Jr. and his mother Connie Rosales, who welcomed him home with open arms.
Those who knew Eddie will remember him as a good and hardworking man, someone who placed the needs of others before his own. He was generous with his time, patient with his advice, and steady with his love. Eddie’s sacrifices and devotion left a lasting legacy of kindness, strength, and family values that will live on in all who were blessed to know him.
A service and burial will be held at Guadalupe Cemetery in Yoakum, Texas, where family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of a man who gave so much of himself to those he loved.
Eddie’s family wishes to thank everyone who has reached out with support and prayers during this time. While his presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire his family for generations to come.
