Agnes Maria Nona Bennett

agnes bennett

January 13, 1961 ~ October 2, 2025

Born in: New Braunfels, Texas
Resided in: Dallas, Texas

Agnes Maria Nona Wilson Bennett, 64, of Dallas, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 2, 2025, after a fall. Born on January 13, 1961, in New Braunfels, Texas, she was the youngest of ten children born to Myrtle Clarice (Hardeman) Wilson and the late Clifford Wilson.

Agnes embodied the pure, genuine kindness that is so often a reflection of Christ’s love. To meet Agnes was to be offered a helping hand, a listening ear, and a warmth that was truly rare. She had an old-school courtesy and deep respect for others, believing that graciousness was not simply a tradition, but “the right way” to live. She instilled this in her son, Joshua, who remembers his mother’s teachings as the bedrock of the man he has become.

Though her passing leaves a heavy void, her family takes comfort in the promise of eternal life and the knowledge that she rests now in the hands of her Savior. Her kindness and grace will continue to bear fruit in the hearts of all who knew her.

Agnes is survived by her son, Joshua Bennett, and her mother, Myrtle Clarice (Hardeman) Wilson. She also leaves behind her siblings: her brothers, Leonard Wilson, Brian Wilson, Chauncey Wilson, and Lambert Wilson; and her sisters, Aggie Wilson, Cynthia Navarrete, Karen Meek, and Carla Wilson.

Agnes was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Wilson, her husband, Burt Wilson, and a brother Lee Andrew Wilson.

Guestbook

  1. In Loving Memory of Ms. Agnes
As a child, some of my happiest memories were spent at Landa Park in New Braunfels, where my cousin Ms. Agnes would gather us all—her nieces and nephews—and take us to the spring-fed pool. She was our swim coach, our cheerleader, and our fearless guide in the water. While I was too afraid of the deep end, Ms. Agnes gently taught me how to float, and in doing so, gave me confidence I still carry today.
Her presence was joy. Her patience was grace. And her love was a gift that shaped our childhoods in ways we’ll never forget.
Ms. Agnes passed away recently, and while her absence is deeply felt, her legacy lives on in every laugh, every splash, and every moment she made magical. My heartfelt condolences go out to her family. She will be missed—but truly, never forgotten.

With love and deepest condolences to her family.
    Terria Chamberlayne

  2. Sincere condolences to the family.
May the Lord bless you with strength,
comfort, and peace during your difficult times.
    Walter and Ann Ervin

  3. My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of our childhood friend Agnes. I don’t ever recall not seeing a smile on her face. RIP my friend, God be with you till we meet again.

  4. Very sad news. I remember Agnes well. We played basketball together in middle school. She had a great layup and a 100-megawatt smile. My sincere condolences to her family.
